What is mineral makeup?

Mineral makeup is made up of naturally active minerals that have been used in cosmetics for centuries (such as mica which Cleopatra used to add shimmer to her body.) These minerals are mined from the beneath the earth’s suface around the world, purified, then crushed into fine powders. Some of the minerals have special luster and when applied reflect the light and give your skin a natural healthy glow and youthfull appearance.

Why don't the popular makeup lines sell mineral makeup?

Because production of mineral cosmetics is more expensive than their current products.

Can I use pure&simple if I suffer from acne?

Absolutely! Our mineral makeup provides very good coverage and Zinc Oxide helps calm and improve your skin‘s condition.

I have very sensitive skin, are your mineral products good for me?

If you have sensitive skin and have had bad experiences with cosmetics in the past, then pure&simple is the right choice for you. We have to say, even if you currently use a very good, quality natural product there is no guarantee you won’t have a reaction. Every skin is individual and will have different reactions to different ingredients and cosmetics. The most irritating ingredients in cosmetics are talc, dye and perfume - our mineral makeup is free of all those ingredients.

Is the pure&simple mineral makeup tested on animals?

pure&simple is not tested on animals.

I have very dry skin, is it good to use mineral makeup?

pure&simple does not dry the skin. However your skin should be well prepared for mineral makeup application. Use a moisturizer (which should be completely absorbed into the skin ) before applying mineral makeup or other products.

What is the correct application of mineral makeup?

The main thing to understand is that a small amount goes very long way. Start by using a very small amount of product and applying in very thin layers until you reach the desired coverage. For more info visit our section, How to use p&s.

I have a oily skin. After I apply makeup and powder, my skin is again shiny after a short time. What is your advice?

First, try to apply our mineral powder Moth Veil (this will absorb any excess oil or moisture) then apply foundation or other mineral products as desired. Finally, finish with another application of Moth Veil.
