How to use pure&simple

Mineral makeup is very different than liquid makeup and needs to be applied using a different technique. The main thing to understand is that a small amount goes a very long way. Start by using a very small amount of product and applying in very thin layers until you reach the desired coverage. It is much easier to add layers than to take them off. It is also extremely important to wait to apply mineral makeup until your moisturizer has been completely absorbed by the skin before applying mineral makeup.

3 simple steps (SWIRL, TAP and BRUSH Technique):

  1. SWIRL a small amount of pure&simple minerals into the lid with our Soft Face brush (for lighter coverage) or our Chrome Kabuki brush (for more coverage) until the minerals are into the bristles.

  2. TAP off any excess makeup. There should be no visible layer of product on the outside of the brush.

  3. BRUSH onto the skin in a circular motion and buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. You can always increase coverage by adding additional layers.

Application Instructions

  1. Using your choice of foundation color or our concealer if foundation is not enough, with the Concealer brush, (and the Swirl, Tap, & Brush technique), apply in layers to problem areas of the face to correct any skin imperfections.
  2. Using your choice of foundation color with the Soft Face brush (for lighter coverage) or the Chrome Kabuki brush (for more coverage). Apply all over the face using the Swirl, Tap, & Brush technique described above.
  3. Now, using your Soft Face brush use just a tiny bit of bronzer and apply lightly to areas where sun would normally hit your face, giving you a healthy glow. (chin, nose, cheeks near nose, and forehead)

    or

    Using your Soft face brush use just tiny bit of blush and apply lightly over cheekbones to accentuate the shape of your face. Can be used all over the face if need to correct more features of the face.
  4. Lastly, using the Soft Face brush or Chrome Kabuki brush (depending upon coverage desired) apply Moth Veil as a finishing powder. This will reduce shine, plus help hide pores. (use Swirl, Tap, & Brush" technique described above). This product can by used alone or after all other mineral products are applied.If you have oily skin or you live in a humid climate, apply Moth Veil prior to other makeup as this will absorb excess moisture and oil.
  5.  For a radient, light glow on your face, use our Radiant brightening powder. It is transparent and minimizes wrinkles. Using the Soft Face brush, swirl a small amount of p&s Radiant Color Face into the lid using the same application technique above. Brush on the face, décolletage, or can be used to only highlight the cheeks. p&s Radiant can be used alone or can be applied as the last product after foundation, powder, etc. For mature skin, try applying Radiant first and then follow with other products as needed (foundation, powder). It will look like you have a light shining from under your skin!

Suggestions and Recommendations

  • All products can be used individually. You might find a single powder is all you need to get the look you desire.
  • Individual products can also be combined as needed and for a variety of reasons. You might find that combining two shades of lighter and darker foundations works best for your skin. A change of seasons is also a good reason to experiment with different shades to better suit your features, etc.
  • pure&simple can be used on your face, neck, decolte, or body as needed.
